Buti is a music-driven, fun and high-energy movement practice that incorporates yoga postures with movement, cardio-dance bursts, deep core work, and plyometrics. Buti is about meeting yourself where you are in the moment each time you step onto your mat and as you move throughout class. All levels are encouraged to try Buti, and some prior movement practice may be helpful. Coming from an Indian Marathi word meaning, “the cure to something hidden or kept secret,” the idea of Buti is that students unearth inner strength and power within themselves through movement. All movements can be modified to suit each student's body and ability.
Anne is a life-long proponent and advocate for self-love, empowerment, and connection. Over the last 15+ years of practice, her focus has grown from just the physical practice of yoga to striving to practice yoga as a way of life. This has led to a tremendous journey of personal growth, empowerment and confidence.
Anne invites students to explore this journey of growth, empowerment and confidence for themselves during her classes. Anne hopes students feel empowered to love themselves as they are, step into their strength, and find their voice through class. Anne is excited to join and bring the practice of Buti to POMP.
