This class includes pranayama (breathing techniques) and asana (yoga postures) to help you gain flexibility, mobility and strength. Improve your posture and help prevent injuries while releasing tension and stress. Learn to more efficiently use and accept your body’s energy on any given day, leaving class with an open, receptive and relaxed state of mind. This class is taught like a workshop where questions and dialogue about yoga are encouraged. Expect to have fun while increasing your proprioception and improving balance.
POP Pilates® is a fusion of ab-chiseling and total body defining moves choreographed to upbeat pop music. This fun and inspiring mat-based workout challenges students to rhythmically flow from one exercise to the next, developing a rock solid core while leaving no muscle untouched. This format takes classical Pilates to the next level.
Intro to Reformer
In this class we will break it all down for you. You will learn how the machine works, transition from one exercise to the next, all while being safe and getting comfortable so you can be successful in future classes.
This flow class will incorporate a grounding, centering warm up, slowly linked stretches, breath techniques, cool down and relaxation. The practice is suitable for all levels of students. The focus of the practice is to calm the mind, link breath to movement, and to cultivate a strong mind ~ body ~ spirit connection.
In this Hatha yoga class, the postures are designed to open the many channels of the body—especially the main channel, the spine—so that energy can flow freely. We will end with a 10 minute savasana at the end where Singing bowls will be played.
Restorative Yoga is a deeply relaxing practice, allowing the muscles to remain quiet as relaxation is invited into the tissues of the body. The use of props including bolsters, blocks and blankets will support the body as you rest, restore and reset your central nervous system.
